Face chart? What is that? It's our carcass, the blue print of our work. I'm sure if you walked in a MAC store or partnered location you will see a book with different evening, day, fantasy, celebrity etc. looks. As MAC artists we are required to make a face chart twice a month to display our artistry skills and at the same time give our clients ideas about what they want to have done when they walk in for their make-up appointment. We all use actual MAC make-up on these papers. No crayons, or markers, but actual make-up! These face charts are also helpful to teach our customers how to blend and what and where to apply on your face. I strongly push you to ask for one next time you walk in to the store. Many of my clients have these hung up on their mirrors as a guide to doing their make-up everyday. Here's a few examples:
